Samsung Galaxy A5 leaked, features mid-range specs and premium body

Since the release of the Samsung Galaxy Alpha, we’ve seen Samsung take a new direction with its smartphones. Instead of the classic all-plastic design, Samsung has been throwing in some metal to make its devices feel more premium. New photos have leaked of the Samsung Galaxy A5, and this device follows this new design path to an extent.

The Galaxy A5 is a very mid-range phone, offering a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 400 processor, 16GB of expandable storage, a 2,330 mAh battery, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. But instead of the plastic you’d associate with Samsung and mid-range (and high-end, to be fair), this device is made of material that “feels cold in the hand” that allegedly isn’t plastic or metal.

Not only that, but it follows the new sharper design of the Galaxy Alpha as Samsung moves further and further away from round curves. I quite like it, it looks classy and sophisticated. Plus, with better build quality, this Samsung fan is happy. What do you think of this new design Samsung is going for? Leave a comment!

Awesome! They learned how to make a phone out of my ex-girlfriend’s soul!

Apparently her soul is made of the same crap as my ex-wifes soul!

Looks like a great phone. Definitely like the squared edges as opposed to the egg shapes Sammy’s been putting out. Few things I’m wondering about though. 1) What’s to the right of the main shooter? Second flash that’s been covered over? 2)Where are the speakers?!?!?! Lol 3)Not sure I like the “dent” located near the physical button in pic 3. It would almost be forgivable if it was just a mock up, but as the other pics plainly show, its a working model. All in all, I’d be more apt to purchase this than an S5. I like the looks of this a lot better and mid-range specs aside the average consumer could probably afford this off contract compared to other flagship devices (I know I could).

The only thing that I’m aware where having the latest SOC matters is if you play games. The screen and on hand feel are by far the most “hey, I noticed that” features, and battery life I suppose. Having a “premium” “on hand feel” should get them good sales.

    when it launch.
    excellent specification.
