Android 5.0 Lollipop’s Easter egg is inspired by Flappy Bird

Android 5.0 Lollipop Easter Egg

Google loves to throw an Easter egg into every version of Android and Android 5.0 Lollipop is no exception. The Easter Egg for Lollipop is a full-fledged game that’s based off of Flappy Bird, the ridiculously popular mobile game. Per usual, go into settings and tap about phone several times. A lollipop will appear and if you long press it, you enter into an Android and lollipop-themed game that functions exactly like Flappy Bird.

In the past, Google has had floating desserts trays, Nyan Cat ice cream sandwiches and even the odd webdriver torso error acting as Easter eggs. This year’s Easter egg takes things to another level with an actual game that can be played. Whether it’s infinite or has more to it, we don’t yet know. But in any case, it’s a very welcome addition.

What do you think of it?
