HTC Nexus 9 shows its backside in newly-leaked image

Last week we got our first glimpse at the Motorola Nexus 6 in the wild, and now it looks like Google’s other new Nexus has finally shown itself as well.

An image of what may be the HTC Nexus 9 has been posted by @upleaks. The image shows a squarish, HTC- and Nexus-branded tablet with a camera and in its corner. The device appears to be made of matte black plastic like the Nexus 5 and not aluminum like previous leaks suggested.

It’s been said that the HTC Nexus 9 could sport an 8.9-inch display, NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage. While the plastic construction may be disappointing to anyone that loves metal mobile hardware, the Nexus 5 felt nice in the hand, and so the Nexus 9 could feel just as nice.

The Nexus 9 is expected to debut in the third quarter of 2014, so its official launch may not be far off. What do you think of HTC’s return to the Nexus program? Will you be buying the Nexus 9?

Ugh. 4:3 like an iPad. The iPad family is just about the last major non-widescreen device on the market and now Google/HTC looks like they’re going backwards.

Hell, since they broke down and made bigger iPhones, even Apple looks like they’re willing to change and play catchup. I will laugh so hard if the new generation of iPads are finally 16:9 or 16:10 and the new Nexus tablet is 4:3. That will be a farce.

Evert time a news about the n9 comes out, its specs get somewhat diminished. First it had to be a quad core k1 64bit with 4gb of ram and aluminium case. Now it’s a dual core with 2gb and made of plastic. What’s next? 32bit instead of 64? Lower res display?

The price of such a device, IMO, should not be premium.

I like the specs of Nexus 9 like 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 8.9 inch display. It will be definitely on the list of my next gadget that I am looking to buy. Well, I consider myself as a gadget geek and recently purchased a Multi Port USB Charger that can charge up to 6 Android or iOS based Smartphones with rapid charging and auto detection feature.
