The HTC One (M8) on T-Mobile will receive the Eye Experience camera update tomorrow. At HTC’s Double Exposure event a couple weeks ago, HTC announced not only new devices but also new camera software for their devices. The update was announced as the Eye Experience update and set to roll out to HTC devices. Now Mo Versi, HTC’s VP of Product Management, has announced that the Eye Experience update has received approval for the T-Mobile HTC One (M8) and will begin rolling out tomorrow.

The Eye Experience update contains new features such as advanced face tracking, Crop Me In, Live Makeup and Split Capture, which allows you to use both the front and rear cameras at the same time. The update is solid and shows that HTC is devoted to taking care of its customers through software updates.

Let us know when you start receiving the update!

My Htc One M8 on T-Mobile already does dual capture. Has from the first day I bought it.

Not sure why you got down-voted, my wife’s M8 also has had it since she bought the phone back in June. Is this new dual capture different somehow?

Yes, the “split capture” feature has been updated and can do a lot more than it did before. You can check out the full Eye Experience on HTC’s website.

Never mind. I see the differences now.

    Got the update this morning.

While the “split capture” is interesting. I am sad to see the “dual capture” gone.
I loved that feature. Used it all the time with friends, concerts and events to capture the scene as well as me and whoever next to me at the time.

Just last night even I was bragging about it and all my friends were totally jealous.
Wish there was a way to get it back.

Nick, what more does the split capture do other than cover a bigger area?

    Thanks,
    Bryan
