Looking to put Android on your wrist? Along with the Nexus 9, 6 and Nexus Player, a new Android Wear smartwatch has popped up on the Google Play listed as coming soon for $249: the Sony SmartWatch 3.

Bearing a sporty, waterproof design, the Sony SmartWatch 3 comes with a 1.6-inch 320 x 320 TFT display, a 420mAh battery, 1.2GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7, 4GB storage and 512MB of RAM. At $249, the SmartWatch 3 is a little more expansive than similar square watches, but it remains highly competitive.

Thought it’s only listed as coming soon at the moment, we imagine it won’t be long until you can buy the device. If we were to buy an Android Wear device today, the SmartWatch 3 would be near the top of our list. The round Moto 360 isn’t for everyone, and the SmartWatch 3′s waterproof casing and interchangeable bands make it an attractive device.

If anything, being more expansive would make it more competitive at a given price point.
It’s a little more expensive than the gear live and G watch though.
