Lollipop update for HTC One Google Play edition pushed to Friday

HTC One Google Play edition owners will have to wait just a little bit longer for their taste of sweet, sugary, Lollipop goodness. Originally slated for release early this week, HTC’s VP of Product Management tweeted out today that the company hopes to have the update ready and rolling by this Friday.

Google Play edition devices are known for getting quick updates thanks to their stock Android builds, and frankly, pushing the HTC One GPe’s update back a few days certainly doesn’t change that for the device. Yes, the few extra days wait will be hard, but look on the bright side here: some flagships still won’t see the update for months now. Be glad your wait is measured in days.

Hopefully, in just three days time now, we’ll be writing an article telling you to fire up your Google Play edition HTC One (M7) or (M8) and get ready for an update. We have faith in you HTC.
