HTC Gallery app update brings a bevy of improvements

The holiday season has gotten HTC in a giving mood, as the company recently updated its HTC Gallery app with some fresh new features.

The new HTC Gallery update brings a feature called Cloud Gallery that’ll let you view the photos and videos that you have stored in Facebook, Dropbox, Flickr, and Google Drive in your HTC Gallery app. All you need to do is connect your accounts to the app and you’ll be good to go.

This update also brings with it a Face Fusion photo editor, which lets you combine a face from one photo with a body from another, some new views, and other improvements. Here’s HTC’s full list of changes:

  • Browse your photos and videos in the cloud (coming soon in some regions)
  • Face Fusion photo editor
  • Tag view
  • Tag images on your phone with keywords
  • Search files on your phone by tag
  • See and search tags from Facebook and Flickr (coming soon in some regions)
  • Updated timeline layout for feed view and grid view
  • Improvements

This is a pretty big update for HTC device owners because it adds new features, makes the app easier to navigate, and just makes HTC Gallery an overall better app. It also is a good example of why manufacturers putting their apps in Google Play is a great idea, because it allows them to update their core apps whenever they want and constantly give their users new features to get excited about.
