We’re no strangers to luxury phones. Many brands have tried to create high-end smartphones but have forgotten that high-end should apply to specs, not just materials. Every time we see a car manufacturer make a smartphone, or even a luxury company like Vertu, we imagine what it would be like to be so rich that we could afford a budget phone masked in gold and diamonds.
But it looks like Lamborghini is breaking the mold with the 88 Tauri, a smartphone that’s actually pretty well spec’d. This device features a 5-inch 1080p display, a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a whopping 64GB of memory, 20-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, and a 3,400 mAh battery. This is no slouch.
The device is made out of steel and leather. The steel comes in black, gold, and silver, while the leather will be in black, blue, red, orange, and brown. Only 1947 devices will be made to commemorate the birth year of the founder of the company, Tonino Lamborghini. It’ll be released in late December fora grand total of $6,000. What do you think of this smartphone?
