Surprisingly, Samsung’s mid range phones have been gaining a bit of attention. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha was talked about due to its metal design, something other Samsung devices didn’t feature. And now the mid range Galaxy A7 has passed through Chinese regulator TENNA and it has our attention.
The device looks very similar to the Galaxy Alpha, but with improved specs and a 6.3mm thickness. This makes it almost two milimeters thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S5, which is pretty awesome. And while I’m not on the bandwagon that thinner is better, this phone should fit nicely into the hand.
Specs include a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of memory, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera. There are pretty nice specs for a mid range device, though they aren’t quite high-end.
The Galaxy A7 definitely seems like a solid buy, and the thinness will be a selling point for many. Hopefully we’ll get it here in the States as a lower cost option. What do you think of the Galaxy A7? Does it look awesome, or is it just another bland Samsung device? Leave a comment!
