Wondering what HTC’s got in store for its “utopia in progress” event that’s taking place on March 1? A new report has emerged this morning that claims to have the goods.
According to Bloomberg, HTC will show its next flagship smartphone in March. Said to be codenamed “M9”, the device will reportedly pack a 20-megapixel rear camera, UltraPixel front-facing cam, octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor, and Dolby 5.1 Audio tech into a body that’s got a similar design and size to the One (M8). That includes color options, because the M9 will reportedly be available in gold, gray, and silver hues.
Also expected to be shown in March is a new HTC smartwatch. Yep, HTC may finally get into the smartwatch game in March, likely tying its wearable in with Under Armour’s UA Record service.
Most of the info in today’s rumor echoes what we’ve heard about HTC’s next flagship in the past, although previous leaks referred to it as “Hima”. And while we applaud HTC for trying something different with its UltraPixel rear camera, we’re betting that seeing “20-megapixel camera” on a spec list will appeal to more of the general public.
Now that HTC’s next flagship is beginning to take shape, are you getting excited for the device?
