Samsung Galaxy S6 may have touch-based fingerprint sensor, bigger home button

It’s no secret that the Samsung Galaxy S5′s fingerprint reader wasn’t exactly the best. The tutorial suggested using a second hand to swipe your finger down vertically, which was a hassle. Swiping it from a natural angle with one hand made it far easier, but the sliding motion was always finicky and often required a few tries to get right.

If the new┬árumors are true, Samsung realized that the swipe-based fingerprint reader just doesn’t work all that well. So the next flagship will allegedly have a touch-based fingerprint reader like the iPhone. This should make it more accurate, easier to use, and overall more secure. For better accuracy, the home button will get bigger to accommodate an entire fingerprint, which worries me as that means the bezel will get bigger.

In terms of software, Samsung isn’t changing what it currently offers with the Galaxy S5. All the old features will return, including paying with PayPal and web sign-in. Hopefully it’ll perform much better than last time. Do you use the fingerprint reader on your smartphone?

    Not going to happen.

I wonder where this crap comes from? Samsung is not going to increase the size of the home button for any reason.
