Sprint and Dev Edition HTC One (M7) Lollipop update now available for download

The update may be a few days late, but we’re sure that HTC One (M7) Developer Edition and Sprint HTC One (M7) owners will be more than delighted to hear that their phones can now be updated to Android 5.0.1. The update includes all the under the hood improvements that Google baked into Lollipop and a few visual and functionality tweaks to the lock screen, notification panel and multi-tasking.

If you have yet to receive an update notification on your device, you can trigger the download manually by going to Settings > About > Software updates > Check Now. Now that two versions of the HTC One (M7) have been updated to Android 5.0, we wouldn’t be surprised if the unlocked and other carrier-branded versions of the phone get the update over the next 7-10 days.

What new Android 5.0 feature are you looking forward to the most?

So many lollipop updates, next month’s Android report should up lollipop from under 2% to well over 10% at this rate of updates.

How weird, CDMA getting the update before GSM. D:

Wait what…? M7 getting it before the M8? And HTCs website says the M7 is still in the development stage of Lollipop. Weird.

And no word from T-Mobile because of their brave policy (and I’m paraphrasing a TMo rep on a TMo forum) of not discussing any updates before they’ve been released. Talk about balls, eh, Legere.
