Google no longer selling the Nexus 5

The last time we thought the Nexus 5 would be gone forever, Google debunked that and said that it would continue to sell the phone through Q1 2015. And that ended up true, as the device was for sale up until recently. With the introduction of the new Google Store, the Nexus 5 is now gone.

When clicking on the phones section of the Google Store, you’re sent to a page for the Nexus 6. It is now the only phone Google is selling, finally ending the life of the Nexus 5. And it’s honestly a bit sad, as the only Nexus we can now buy is huge and expensive. Gone is our favorite budget device. But on the other hand, it lasted for over a year, which is nice to see.

Will we ever see a low-cost, high-end Nexus device again? Or is Google done selling powerful devices at cost? Either way, the Nexus 5 was a great device and we will miss it. Let us know how you feel about the situation in the comments!

Too bad I guess. You can still try to get your hands on a Oneplus one, or pick up a moto x. Moto x 2013, there still around and only around $200, for a developer edition 32gb
