While many around the world were likely hoping for more out of the HTC One M9, it seems that there may be an improved model on the way. New leaks are pointing to a One M9+ that’s bound for China, specifically China Mobile. The device features a Duo Camera setup like the One M8 and also features a fingerprint scanner beneath the screen. Believe it or not, the fingerprint scanner does not actually function as a home button, much as it looks like Samsung’s home button/fingerprint scanner combo.
The One M9+ has also been improved in the specs department. The phone reportedly packs a 5-inch display with an improved QHD resolution of 2560×1440. It’s powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6795T processor, has 3GB of RAM and still includes the One M9′s 20-megapixel camera in the Duo Camera setup, though that shape has been changed to be circular rather than square.
An official invite went out from HTC China announcing an event in Beijing where the One M9+ will be revealed. At this point, the phone is all but confirmed and we’re eager to see if the rumored specs match the actual device.
