Google has announced today that it is continuing to expand its gigabit Internet service, Google Fiber, to another city in the United States. The next city set to receive Google Fiber is Salt Lake City, Utah.
Get excited, residents of Salt Lake City. Salt Lake City joins Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte and Raleigh-Durham as the next cities set to be fitted with Google’s ultra-fast fiber Internet service. Salt Lake City will actually be the second city in Utah to see the service, following a great response in the city of Provo.
There’s no time table for when Salt Lake City will be ready to go, but residents can sign up for more information on development at Google Fiber’s website. Where will Google Fiber be available next? San Jose, Portland, Phoenix and San Antonio are all possibilities.
