Samsung shows off Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge packaging in official hands-on video

While we have seen plenty of images and know all the specs of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the all-important question of what will the packaging look like had still evaded us until now.

In Samsung’s own official unboxing video, they take the wraps off their latest and reveal the new updated packaging in the process. It continues the minimal look that began with the Galaxy Note 4, a stark departure from the faux wood grain of previous years, and perhaps pushes it a bit farther with just the text adorning the box. I doubt anyone is sold on a smartphone due to its flashy packaging, so I’m happy to see packaging disappear as quickly as possible to reveal the device.

If you haven’t taken a look at the Galaxy S6 or S6 Edge yet, then stay tuned for the rest of the video as it does a nice job providing a quick overview of some of the unique design features of both phones.

After having a few days to consider the new devices announced at Mobile World Congress, are either of Samsung’s offerings at the top of your list?
