Last month we saw several versions of the Galaxy S5 get their Android 5.0 updates. Now that it’s a new month, it’s time for a new Galaxy device to get a Lollipop treat.
Des Smith says that the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy Note 3 will get its Android 5.0 update this week. Smith, who is T-Mo’s “Official Phone Guru,” didn’t specify a date on which the update would begin rolling out, but Samsung’s support page says that it’ll start today, March 4. Samsung’s changelog for the update is as follows:
- OS upgrade to Android 5.0 (Lollipop)
- Wi-Fi calling experience
- Resolved Wi-Fi calling one way audio
- Resolved IPv6 email setup
As with the aforementioned Galaxy S5 Lollipop updates, you T-Mo Note 3 owners should see some new Android 5.0 notifications and lock screen alerts with today’s update. If you’ve got a T-Mobile Note 3 that hasn’t yet been updated to Android 5.0, you can check for the update right now by heading into Settings > General > About device > Software update.
