AT&T is now updating the Galaxy S5 to Lollipop

AT&T has announced that today it is updating the Samsung Galaxy S5 to Android 5.0 Lollipop, bringing it up to speed with the other carriers. After releasing Lollipop for the Galaxy S4 yesterday, AT&T took a lot of flak for the fact that the newer Galaxy S5 still hadn’t been updated to Lollipop. In response, AT&T revealed that the update for the Galaxy S5 will begin rolling out today.

Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy S5 brings a revised look with TouchWiz’s adaptation of Material Design. It also brings in improved notification handling, faster performance and a whole host of other tweaks and improvements. The update will likely roll out in stages, so it may be a few days before you receive it. If you want to manually check, just head into About Phone and check for updates.

When you do receive the update, drop a comment and let us know!
