AT&T has announced that it will begin selling the ASUS MeMO Pad 7 beginning this Friday, April 10. The MeMO Pad 7 is one of ASUS’ budget tablets, but it packs a fair amount for what it sells for. AT&T will be offering a special bundle for the MeMO Pad 7 that allows it to be purchased for just $0.99 when it’s bought with a smartphone on AT&T Next. If that doesn’t work for you, AT&T is also selling the tablet for $8.75/month for 20 months on an installment plan or for $74.99 on a two-year contract. Adding the tablet to your Mobile Share Value plan costs just $10/month.
If you prefer the contract-free route, AT&T is selling the MeMO Pad 7 for $174.99. Additionally, the MeMO Pad 7 is AT&T’s first tablet with GoPhone prepaid support. Plan pricing on GoPhone for tablets starts at $25/month for 2GB of data. It then goes up to $50/month for 5GB and $75/month for 8GB.
The MeMO Pad 7 features a 7-inch 1280×800 IPS display, 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage plus microSD card slot, five-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, stereo speakers, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and 4G LTE. The MeMO Pad 7 won’t blow you away, but it does pack some decent value if you pick it up for $0.99.
