Sony’s upcoming Xperia Z4 has turned out to be one of the leakiest devices in recent history. The star of multiple leaks, the Z4 is back again today with the clearest “in the wild” images that we’ve seen yet. What we’re seeing is what we’ve come to expect the design of Sony’s flagships. It’s a simple square design with glass on both front and back. The sides are rounded and show a device that’s fairly svelte.
The phone features a headphone jack on the top, power button and volume rocker on the right side, covered nano-SIM and microSD card ports on the left side and an exposed microUSB port at the bottom of the device, notable because Sony’s past devices have used flaps to ensure waterproofing. The back of the phone holds what’s rumored to be a 20.7-megapixel camera, while the front holds a camera sensor and notification LED on the top left of the phone. Additionally, the leaks reveal slits for front-facing stereo speakers.
The Xperia Z4 looks pretty large in the leaks, but rumors have stated that the display will be 5.2 inches in size, rather than going for a phablet size. It’s also been reported that Sony will sell both 1080p and QHD versions of the device. Other rumored specs include a Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB storage and IP68 water and dust proofing.
Sony hasn’t set a launch date, but we wouldn’t expect too much more of a wait.
