Android One extends to Pakistan with the QMobile A1

The Android One train keeps on rolling, and today it’s stopping in Pakistan for the first time.

Today Google introduced the QMobile A1, the first Android One phone for Pakistan. The QMobile A1 is now available at a price of 11,500 Pakistani rupees ($110 USD), which’ll get you a phone with the following specs:

  • 4.5-inch 854×480 display
  • 1.3GHz quad-core processor
  • 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash
  • 2-megapixel front camera
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 8GB of storage
  • microSD card slot
  • FM radio
  • 1700mAh battery
  • Android 5.1.1

While there’s not exactly any standout features of the QMobile A1, that’s not really the point of the device. The purpose is to give consumers an affordable Android smartphone that’ll run smoothly and get prompt OS updates, and now smartphone shoppers in Pakistan have a device that’ll do just that.
