For AT&T subscribers that own the HTC One M9, the company has just revealed that another software update is on the way.
HTC’s Mo Versi took to Twitter earlier on July 14 to confirm that the One M9 under AT&T’s network umbrella has just received technical approval of Android 5.1 Lollipop. That means that the over the air (OTA) update for the new software can begin rolling out, which HTC has also confirmed will begin on Wednesday, July 15:
HTC One (M9) AT&T Owners! We have received technical approval on Lollipop OS 5.1 which includes camera improvements. OTA to start on 7/15!!
— Mo Versi (@moversi) July 14, 2015
As Versi puts it, this update will feature “camera improvements.” AT&T’s HTC One M9 received a camera-specific update back in April. There will probably be some other minor tweaks in the new software when it lands on owners’ devices beginning tomorrow, but it’s likely this will be a small update in scope.
