Four days ago, a report surfaced that indicated Samsung was planning on introducing the Galaxy Note 5 a little ahead of schedule — sometime in August, in fact — to beat the hype of another handset that typically launches in September.
Now a new rumor has found its way out of the rumor mill and provided a date to circle on the calendar for those that are excited for the Galaxy Note 5 or the Galaxy S6 edge Plus (with its 5.7-inch dual-curved display). According to a report from SamMobile, Samsung plans on announcing the Galaxy Note 5 on August 12, along with the Galaxy S6 edge Plus. As far as a release date goes, the report says that Samsung will release the devices just nine days later on August 21.
This report also echoes one from a few days ago, suggesting that the Galaxy Note 5 will not have a microSD card slot. While it’s a bit of a departure for Samsung’s Galaxy Note lineup, it was a big departure for the Galaxy S lineup as well, but Samsung introduced the glass back with the Galaxy S6 (and Galaxy S6 edge), foregoing the inclusion of a microSD card slot on those handsets as well.
Are you looking forward to the Galaxy Note 5 or the Galaxy S6 edge Plus?
