It’s been suggested that Google might launch two new Nexus phones in 2015 — one made by LG and one from Huawei — and now one of those devices may have been shown off.
A video that claims to shown a render of the LG “Bullhead” Nexus has been posted by uSwitch and @OnLeaks. The render, which is allegedly based off of factory schematics given to accessory makers, shows a device with front-facing speakers, a protruding rear camera, and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The bottom of the unit also houses a USB Type-C port, and the phone’s screen reportedly measures 5.2 inches.
The LG Bullhead’s dimensions are reportedly going to be 146.9 x 72.9mm x 8mm, though that protruding camera will allegedly stick out to 9.8mm. To compare, the Nexus 5 is 137.84 x 69.17 x 8.59mm.
Since this render is said to be based off of schematics sent to accessory makers, it likely lacks details related to colors and branding that the final phone will have. The render does give us a basic idea of what LG’s new Nexus might look like, though. And with a debut that might not happen until October, we’re betting that more leaks will fill in the detail gaps in the coming weeks.
