Amazon Fire tablet adds new colors, picks up 16GB option for $70


Amazon’s Fire tablet has been available in an 8GB model since last year in a single black color option. Now Amazon is not only expanding the storage options, but also the colors.

Amazon has officially announced that the Fire tablet is now available in blue, magenta, and tangerine colors. Each of the 8GB models still costs only $49.99. Amazon has also unveiled a new 16GB variant of the Fire tablet, which will come in the aforementioned colors and retail for $69.99.

Amazon releasing a new 16GB Fire Kids Edition tablet, as well, which will sell for $119.99. The kids tablet boast a green kid-proof case, as will the 8GB model, which is priced at $99.99.

At such cheap prices, the Fire tablets are certainly a worthwhile option for some. Plus, with the 16GB storage boost, it becomes an even more attractive. Do you own, or plan to own, a Fire tablet?
