Huawei and Google reportedly working on 7-inch tablet

Up to this point, 7-inch tablets appeared to have dropped off the Google radar considering it’s been three years since the company launched the Nexus 7. There’s been the Nexus 9 and Nexus 10, and even the Pixel C, but anyone who has been waiting for a new 7-inch tablet has been left to do so for quite some time. If a new rumor from Evan Blass (@evleaks) is true, though, then the wait could be finally coming to an end.

According to the prominent leaker, Google is working with Huawei to build a brand new 7-inch tablet. Blass says that the device will boast 4GB of RAM, but any additional details regarding the upcoming device remain a mystery.

Google is expected to hold an event on October 4 at which which it’s expected to unveil the rumored Pixel smartphones, so if Google is indeed working on a new 7-inch tablet, it could be unveiled on that date. The 7-inch tablet is expected to launch before the end of the year.

Would you buy a new 7-inch tablet from Google and Huawei?
