Despite the fact the LG G6 isn’t officially official just yet, LG Display has decided to spill some important beans regarding the upcoming flagship’s display.
In a report from the Korea Herald, LG Display has confirmed that an upcoming smartphone will feature a 5.7-inch “QHD+” display which will boast an aspect ratio of 18:9. Following that, LG Electronics confirmed that the handset in question would be the G6, which will apparently be unveiled sometime in February.
The use of an 18:9 aspect ratio will be the first QHD panel of its kind. LG says the 5.7-inch display will feature a resolution of 1440×2880 (564 ppi). On top of all that, LG will be using in-TOUCH technology, which will embed the touch sensor into the LCD cell and should improve touch performance.
We’ve already heard that LG doesn’t plan on including a modular design for the G6, with the new focus being on aesthetics and performance. With the Life’s Good crew already confirming the handset will have an impressive display, it sounds like they’re staying on track with that plan.
Are you looking forward to the LG G6?
