OnePlus 5 design and dual rear camera setup shown off in latest teaser

OnePlus continues to trickle out details of the OnePlus 5 ahead of the device’s official reveal, and today more info about the next OnePlus flagship has been revealed.

OnePlus today shared an official image of the OnePlus 5 that confirms that the device will have a dual rear camera setup. The image posted to Twitter reads “Dual Camera. Clearer Photos.” and shows a OnePlus-branded device with dual rear cameras, flash, a matte black body, and a visible antenna line.

The OnePlus 5 will be the first OnePlus device to sport a dual rear camera setup. Having dual rear cameras is kind of a thing in mobile now, with companies like Apple, LG, and Huawei all packing a dual rear camera setup into their recent flagships. We don’t have any official details about what features the OnePlus 5’s dual rear camera setup will offer, but it’ll be interesting to learn what OnePlus has cooked up, especially since it’s collaborating with DxO on the OnePlus 5’s camera performance.

OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus 5 will offer improved audio recording. “We brought in some new hardware and assigned a group of engineers to optimize the audio system of the OnePlus 5 to capture much clearer sound,” OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei explained in the OnePlus forums, adding that the OP5’s microphone will perform better in loud environments.
