If you’ve been waiting to get a Tizen-based Samsung Gear S3 Frontier or Classic on your wrist, Verizon has finally announced their availability.

Samsung initially announced both the Gear S3 Frontier and Classic late last year, and the press release said that both watches would be available on a variety of different carriers “by the end of the year.” That didn’t pan out for Verizon, but the Big Red carrier is hoping better late than never is okay in this case.

Both smartwatches are available beginning today in Verizon Wireless retail stores across the United States and they’ll be available online at a later date. They’re both priced at $399.99 outright or $349.99 with a two-year contract

The Gear S3 Frontier and Gear S3 Classic both feature a 1.3-inch 360×360 full color, always-on Super AMOLED round display. They also boast a Corning Gorilla Glass SR+ panel, which is designed specifically for wearables. Inside that case is a 1GHz dual-core processor, 768MB of RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, and a battery that is measured in at 380mAh. According to Samsung, that means the Gear S3 will last up to four days on a single charge.

There’s also a heart rate monitor on board and plenty of other sensors. The Gear S3 boasts LTE connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS/Glonass, a built-in speaker, and NFC and MST support so that Samsung Pay can be used as well for mobile payments. The Gear S3 is also IP68-rated, so it’s resistant to water and dust.

The watches boast a rotating bezel which can help to choose apps and accept/reject phone calls as they arrive.

Verizon is hosting a limited-time promotion for the launch of the Gear S3 which will give customers that buy a Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, a Galaxy S7, or a Galaxy S7 edge $100 off their purchase of the Gear S3 Frontier or Classic. You’ll have to get a two-year contract with your smartwatch, too.

It’s also worth noting that the Gear S3 is the first devices on Verizon’s network to support NumberShare, which means you can actually leave your phone at home and get calls/texts delivered straight to your number that’s synced to your smartwatch.

Do you plan on picking up a Gear S3?
