Now that Android 8.0 Oreo is official, people are wondering when their devices will be receiving the updates. With carriers and manufacturer skins delaying the process, updates are always a sore spot for most Android users.
HTC previously announced that the U11, U Ultra, and the 10 are all getting the update to the latest version of Android, but there was no timeline shared. However, the company announced today that the flagship U11 is getting its update sometime in Q4 2017.
This of course means that the update could as soon as October, though it likely means it will come sometime by the end of the year. Nonetheless, the timeline is looking pretty good when it comes to updates for non-Pixel and Nexus devices. Timelines for the rest of the devices will come later but this should get U11 owners excited!
