If you’re a fan of Moto Mods, there’s a new addition to the lineup that brings Amazon’s digital personal assistant along for the ride.
Announced today, the Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa is now official. As its name suggests, owners can use Alexa on their Moto Z to control smart home accessories, check up on their schedule, get weather info, and more.
To make sure that the smart speaker can hear vocal requests, there are four microphones built into it. The new Moto Mod also includes a built-in battery, and there’s a speaker, too. The Moto Smart Speaker with Amazon Alexa will launch in November for $149.99.
It’s at least an interesting looking accessory. And with the built-in speaker and battery, it seems to cover the important bases. Sure, Google Assistant is already built into the Moto Mod-supported devices, but if you just prefer Amazon’s Alexa, this seems like a not-awful solution.
Then again, would you pay $149.99 to get Amazon Alexa on your phone?
