BLU R2 Plus features front and rear 13MP cameras, available today at limited time introductory price


BLU is prolific in the affordable Android smartphone market, and today the company introduced its latest offering.

The BLU R2 Plus is now official. It’s packing a 5.5-inch 1920×1080 display with 13-megapixel camera and LED flash above it for all of your selfie needs, and around back there’s a second 13-megapixel camera with LED flash and phase detection autofocus. A fingerprint reader rests below the rear camera.

Inside the BLU R2 Plus’s aluminum shell is a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a microSD card slot for adding more storage. There’s also a 3,000mAh battery for powering the whole package.

BLU has equipped the R2 Plus with 4G LTE bands 1/2/3/4/7/12/17/28, and the phone works with GSM operators like AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. The R2 Plus is sold unlocked.
