Android Oreo came out a few months back, but most smartphone owners have yet to receive an update to the latest and greatest version of Android. The Moto brand, now under the purview of Lenovo, is better than some manufacturers for updates. The company has just begun deployment of the Android Oreo update to the Moto X4, which is the most recent addition to the successful Moto X line.
While the update has begun rolling out to unlocked Moto X4 devices, it will reach devices at different times depending on a number of factors. Specific models and countries will have an impact, though carrier update testing will likely be the biggest player in slowing down the update rollout.
