Huawei’s P20 and P20 Plus smartphones are hotly anticipated as the company is expected to take major step forward in smartphone cameras. Rumors have indicated that Huawei, in collaboration with Leica, will outfit the P20 and P20 Plus with three rear cameras that will boast a 40-megapixel resolution with 5x zoom. While such reports seem exorbitant, TigerMobiles has released renders of the P20 and P20 Plus that feature a rear triple-camera array.
The renders were provided to TigerMobiles by infamous leaker @onleaks, who has provided previous leaks regarding the P20 line. Both the P20 and P20 Plus sport three rear cameras, plus dual front-facing cameras. The devices are outfitted with an all-screen design, albeit for a small notch at the top for the speaker and cameras. There are also appears to be an IR sensor integrated into the top of the phone. It is unclear whether the P20 or P20 Plus will feature a physical home button, as some renders featured a home button while others lacked a home button.
Huawei is hosting an event in Paris on March 27 where the P20 line is expected to launch. Huawei has teased AI as a major feature of the device, and the complex camera set-up will likely play into that. Stay tuned for more leaks as we inch closer to the reveal.
