Disney AR Emoji brings Mickey and Minnie to the Galaxy S9

The Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ officially went up for sale today, which means a lot of people are now getting to try Samsung’s AR Emoji feature which will turn them into animated avatars of themselves.

If you picked up a Galaxy S9 or its larger variant and you have already tried the AR Emoji feature and weren’t that into it, maybe turning yourself into Disney’s Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse will sway you in the other direction. Both of the characters are available to download within the AR Emoji mode on your S9 and S9+ beginning today, March 16.

Samsung teased the feature when it announced both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ earlier this year, so it’s good to see a quick turnaround on availability. The company also confirmed today in its official announcement that more Disney characters are on the way, including options from the popular films The Incredibles and Frozen. Those will arrive at a later date, but no specific timeframe is available just yet.
