Samsung Galaxy Note 8 now receiving update to Android 8.0

In early February, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ started receiving the update to Android 8.0 Oreo, and now another one of Samsung’s flagship smartphones is getting on the fun.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 is next in line to get the Android 8.0 update. The update now is rolling out to handsets in France, and it brings the software version up to N950FXXU3CRC1. The new software also includes the March 2018 Android security update.

The Oreo update adds features like autofill for forms, picture-in-picture support, and notification dots on app icons.

As it stands, there is no word on when Samsung is planning on expanding the Note 8′s Android 8.0 rollout, but with owners in France getting the update, it stands to reason that an expanded rollout may happen sooner rather than later since Samsung has finalized everything it needs to on its end.

If you’re in France, keep an eye out for the Android 8.0 Oreo update.
