Amazon Key Home Kit availability expands nationwide, and it’s now on sale

If you’ve been thinking about adding some smarts to your home, you may want to consider the Amazon Key.

Amazon Key is now available nationwide. You can now buy an Amazon Key Home Kit, which includes a smart lock and an Amazon Cloud Cam security camera. Amazon is running a special deal on this kit fora limited time.

Also of note is that Amazon has added five more smart lock options to its Amazon Key Home Kit, bringing the total number of smart locks available to eight.

With Amazon Key, you can give keyless access to your home to friends, family, and visitors. You can choose from permanent or recurring access for friends, family, or some workers who are visiting your home, or you can grant one-time access to someone like an electrician.

The Amazon Key app will let you remotely lock and unlock your door, and you can also use it to view your door by watching your Cloud Cam’s security feed. You can also view motion clips when people enter and exit your home.

Amazon Key also integrates with Alexa, meaning you can use your voice to lock and unlock your door using your Echo or other Alexa-enabled device. You can have Alexa show your Cloud Cam feed on devices like a Fire tablet, Echo Show, or Fire TV as well.

One feature that’s not rolling out nationwide is in-home delivery. With this service, you can have Amazon deliver your packages inside your door to keep them safe from thieves. In-home delivery is currently only available to Amazon Prime members in 37 cities.

Amazon’s Key Home Kit looks like a solid option for anyone that wants to try some smart home devices on the cheap. The kit is more affordable than some other smart lock options on the market and not only gives you a smart lock, but also a cloud-connected security camera to let you keep tabs on your home when you’re away.
