Motorola launches stereo speaker Moto Mod for $59.99

Motorola is adding a fourth external speaker option to its Moto Mods accessory system, undercutting the three other speakers in price.

Today Motorola launched the Moto Stereo Speaker, which is available to buy right now for $59.99  or $10 per month, if you prefer the financing option. It is available in three colors: black, blue, and red. Owners don’t need to charge it, either, as the speaker simply connects via the Moto Mod system and draws power from the Moto smartphone.

As far as specifications go, the new stereo speaker option features a pair of 28mm stereo speakers, so the sound quality will hopefully be crisp and loud enough. There is also a built-in kickstand so you can prop up the device while you’re listening.

At $59.99 this is the cheapest external speaker option so far. JBL’s SoundBoost and SoundBoost 2 cost $79.99, and the Amazon Alexa-equipped speaker retails for $149.99. Do you plan on picking up this new stereo speaker?
