It has been a couple of years since OnePlus launched the second version of its popular Bullet headphones, but it looks like the company is working on a new version that’s wireless.
As first reported by Nashville Chatter, OnePlus is currently working on something called the Bullet Wireless headphones. As one might imagine, the fact the new headphones are going through the Bluetooth certification process and have the word “wireless” in their name, it’s pretty clear what these new headphones’ defining feature will be.
Unfortunately, the certification doesn’t provide any real details about what the Bullet Wireless headphones will bring to the table. There is no word on whether or not these will be truly wireless, or if each earbud will be connected with a behind-the-neck wire. The certification does say the Bullet Wireless headphones will support high-quality AptX streaming.
We already know that the OnePlus 6 will have a 3.5mm headphone jack, so at least the phone doesn’t necessitate the need for wireless headphones (yet). Still, it’s not a surprise to see OnePlus jumping on the wireless headphones bandwagon, considering that’s where the market is heading.
The wired Bullet headphones seem to be pretty popular for OnePlus, especially considering they’re priced at $20. It’s likely that OnePlus will try to offer its wireless headphones at a cheaper price than most of the competition, so it will be interesting to see where they land and how good they sound for the price.
Would you pick up a pair of wireless headphones from OnePlus?
