Last year Casio introduced the WSD-F20 smartwatch, which features a rugged design and features designed for folks who like to go hiking and enjoy other outdoor activities. That smartwatch retails for around $499.
Now Casio is introducing a new member of the WSD lineup, this one boasting most of the key features that Casio introduced with the WSD family, but with a lower price tag. The new WSD-F20A has a 1.32-inch “dual layer display” with a color resolution of 320×300 in its round design. It’s water resistant up to 50 meters and its durability is tested at the standard military 810G rating.
This model also features a barometer, altimeter, a built-in activity tracker, a microphone, and a digital compass. It is running Wear OS and supports built-in GPS, too.
For folks who might have been interested in the standard Casio Pro Trek WSD-F20 model but didn’t want to fork over $500, this new WSD-F20A should fit the bill.
The new Pro Trek WSD-F20A will launch on May 1 in physical retail stores and online, including from the likes of REI, Amazon, and Best Buy.
