Forbes has released its Most Valuable Brands of 2018 list and many of the brands are obvious contenders. The top five includes Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and Amazon in that order.
What’s a surprise is that Huawei has been included in the list for the second time, and it is the only Chinese company to appear on the list this year. Last year it was number 88 when it was valued at $7.3 billion, but this year it has seen a 15% growth to $8.4 billion, bringing it up to number 79.
With devices like the P20 Pro reaching the top of DxOMark’s benchmarks as well as a solid selection of budget phones, it’s no surprise to see Huawei being so successful. This comes despite the current controversies the company is facing in the US.
