Earlier this month we saw the first teaser for the Lenovo Z5, the company’s first attempt at an all-screen smartphone, and what appears to be the device to really get it right.
Based on the teasers, we saw a smartphone that doesn’t have a chin and offers minimized bezels on every size of the display. Even at the top, there will apparently not be a notch, breaking a growing trend within the Android smartphone ecosystem. At the time, we didn’t know when Lenovo might actually show off the handset, but now we do.
Lenovo has confirmed that the handset will be unveiled in China on Tuesday, June 5. The event will kick off at 2:00 PM local time in Beijing, and it’s likely that the handset will see its initial launch in the country of origin. There is no word that it will see an international launch, but maybe that changes next week.
What we know about the Lenovo Z5 is that the handset boasts an impressive 95% screen-to-body ratio, but otherwise the phone is a mystery. That will change on June 5, though, so we don’t have long to wait.
If you could get your hands on the Lenovo Z5, would you, depending on the specs under the hood and camera(s)?
