HMD Global has launched the Nokia X6 in China, complete with high-end specs and the distinct display notch design that’s swept across the smartphone market. The X6 is outfitted with a 5.9-inch 2280×1080 display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a Gorilla Glass 3 covering. Inside, the X6 features a Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB/6GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage plus a microSD card slot, and a 3060mAh battery.
The rear camera setup features a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture paried with a 5-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The front-facing camera also features a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The Nokia X6 boasts a variety of software enhancements to the camera including HDR, background blur, face recognition, and the ability to broadcast microblogs directly from the camera app.
The Nokia X6 will debut with Android 8.1 Oreo with an update to Android P promised soon after launch. The device features a 95% glass body with a metal frame that has three color options of white, black, and blue.
Nokia is launching the X6 in China on May 21 at 1,299 yuan ($204 USD) for the 4GB/32GB model, 1,449 yuan ($236 USD) for the 4GB/64GB model, and 1,699 yuan ($266 USD) for the 6GB/64GB model.
