Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ get Burgundy Red and Sunrise Gold colors

It looks like Burgundy Red isn’t the only new color option coming to the Galaxy S9.

Samsung today announced the Burgundy Red — which was first introduced a week ago in China — and Sunrise Gold color options for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. Samsung says that the Burgundy Red is “one of the deepest red colors available featuring restrained gloss for added density and a look that is contemporary and traditional”.

As for the Sunrise Gold, Samsung that that these versions of the S9 and S9+ are the first Samsung devices to have “a satin gloss finish which wraps the smartphone in a tranquil glow and glimmer.”

The Burgundy Red versions of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will launch first, arriving in Korea and China this month. The Sunrise Gold models will launch in June in select markets, including Australia, Chile, Germany, Hong Kong, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. Additional market availability details are coming soon.

Like the existing Midnight Black, Lilac Blue, Titanium Gray, and Coral Blue versions of the Galaxy S9 and S9+, these new Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red models have color that covers the back of the device and wraps around to the sides. They look good, and it’s nice to have even more color options for consumers that are thinking about buying a GS9 or GS9+.
