Mother’s Day is May 13, and so companies are starting to unveil their special offerings for the yearly occasion.
Verizon is one of them, announcing buy one, get one deals for a variety of smartphones. In each of the cases, if you buy one smartphone, Verizon will cover the monthly installment cost on a second handset by way of monthly bill credits. You can choose from three different Android smartphones this year.
If you buy a Samsung Galaxy S9, Verizon will cover the monthly cost of a second Galaxy S9. And the carrier will do the same if you buy a Google Pixel 2 and pick up a second one, or go with Motorola’s Moto Z2 Force and pick up a second one.
You will need to activate a new line of service to be eligible for the second handset and get it with monthly installments. That first line can be a new customer or an existing one that’s upgrading.
Verizon is also offering a deal on iPhones, if you know someone who might be interested. For Mother’s Day, Verizon is offering $699 towards a second iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X. You will need to pick up one of those handsets with an upgrade or new line first to get the discount on the second line, which will be applied as a monthly bill credit over the course of 24 months.
