It hasn’t even been a week since Sprint announced its $15 per month unlimited offer, but it looks like it’s coming to an end soon.
Sprint has confirmed that it will be ending its $15 unlimited plan this week. Specifically, it the promo will stop this Friday, June 15 at 11:59 PM ET. The reason why Sprint is ending it? According to the Now Network, it’s due to “heavy demand”.
If you’re still interested in the plan, you’ll first need to port your number over from another carrier. You’ll need to keep your old device and bring it onto Sprint’s network or buy a new Sprint phone outright. Also, that $15 per month plan is available for those who sign up for autopay.
One more thing to be aware of is that while this is an unlimited plan, there are limitations to the content you stream. That means video is capped at 480p, music streaming is set at 500kbps, and game streaming constrained to 2Mbps.
So apparently this plan has been a pretty big success for Sprint, so much so it can’t sustain it for much longer.
