Today Google released the July 2018 security patch update for its supported devices, like the Pixel devices and a few Nexus phones. While most companies rarely update their devices, you can rely on Google devices to get the latest updates first.
Essential is pushing hard to be just as good, and this month the company has released its own security patch update on the same day as Google. The Essential Phone, once updated, will be running the absolute latest version of Android with the latest security patch. Also included are some fixes for Android Auto, for those who are still having trouble with the feature.
The company also released the latest Android P beta on the same day as Google, just in case you want to be on the latest future version of Android. Essential is knocking it out of the park. Head to your settings to update your phone to the latest security patch!
It’s the second day of July and we’ve got your monthly security patches ready to go! Oh yeah, we also included some stability improvements for Android Auto. Check your Essential Phone now to download the update. pic.twitter.com/6QS3Ay3O2r
