BlackBerry says it’s got a ‘new introduction’ planned for IFA 2018

IFA is one of the biggest trade shows for the mobile industry, and days before the 2018 event starts, BlackBerry is starting to tease something coming down the pipe.

Taking to Twitter, the official BlackBerry Mobile account teased something new without giving too much away. There is a video embedded in the tweet which includes a brief glimpse at what appears to be new BlackBerry-branded hardware, but not enough to give us a real idea of what to expect. The video also includes “IFA Berlin 2018″, drilling home the fact we’ll see whatever this new thing is soon enough.

The text of the tweet reads “Almost time for a new introduction. #IFA18″, so there isn’t much to go on there, either. Rumors have suggested that we could see a BlackBerry KEY2 LE at IFA, which shares the same body design as the KEY2 but features more limited specs, including a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 3000mAh battery.

Whatever BlackBerry has up its sleeve, we should see it soon enough. Are you in the market for a new BlackBerry smartphone?
