Diesel’s Full Guard smartwatch features a 2.5-inch display [Updated]

Casio isn’t the only company announcing a smartwatch powered by Google’s Wear OS today, but unlike Casio’s WSD-F30, the newest Diesel offering has a pretty big display.

Update: The original article cited incorrectly stated that the Diesel Full Guard 2.5 features a 2.5-inch display. Turns out that’s not actually the case, and the Full Guard 2.5′s display actually measures in at 1.39 inches. That’s actually not too bad! Sure, the case on this smartwatch is still pretty massive, but the display size itself isn’t really out of the ordinary.

Anyway, the original article continues below. Just keep in mind that we’re not talking about a massive smartwatch with a 2.5-inch display anymore. Unfortunately?

Diesel has just announced its newest smartwatch, the Full Guard, and it appears to live up to its namesake. The device boasts a 2.5-inch circular display, and its case size measures in at 47mm x 56mm. Unfortunately, that’s about all we have to go on here. Just the huge display and the case size. We do know that when the Full Guard launches, it will be available in three colors: a black case with a gunmetal gray strap, a gunmetal gray case with a brown strap, and a black case with a black strap.

The Diesel Full Guard with its 2.5-inch display will go on sale in October, but no word on price. How much would you pay for this gigantic smartwatch?
