Google launched Android 9 Pie to the public recently, and some companies are already jumping on the hype train to announce which of their devices will be gettin the update.
On Friday, HTC took to Twitter to confirm a handful of devices will be getting the update to Android Pie at some point in the future. Unfortunately, while the company was ready to talk specific devices, they aren’t ready to circle a date on the calendar just yet.
We’re pleased as pie to confirm updates to Android Pie for the HTC U12+, U11+, U11, and U11 life (Android One). Timeframes for roll-out will be announced in due course.

Here are the devices HTC plans on updating to Android Pie at some point in the (hopefully near) future:
HTC says that timeframes for the upgrade rollout will be announced “in due course”, but doesn’t offer up anything beyond that right now. So if you have one of those handsets, at least take solace in knowing HTC plans on updating it at some point. It’s probably worth noting that there is a version of the U11 Life that isn’t an Android One variant, but it doesn’t look like that model will be getting updated.
If you own one of these handsets, are you excited that you’re on the Android Pie list?
